Established in 1997, Echo Weekly was a free alternative newspaper that came out every Thursday in Kitchener, Waterloo, Fergus, Elora, Cambridge and Guelph. The Mandyland column in Echo Weekly featured over 90 local and independent businesses, creative geniuses and other forms of awesome. In October 2011, Echo stopped publishing, leaving a void in the region but inspiring its writers to do what they can to fill it in their own unique ways. Mandyland Magazine and Sunday Hymns are two examples of this. Please check them out.
